CCS corporate membership

McPhillips have always endeavoured to work in partnership with the communities in which we operate and have a positive reputation as a good neighbour.  This is now further demonstrated through our corporate membership of the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).  The CCS is the national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image and commits those contractors and construction companies in the Scheme to be considerate and good neighbours, as well as respectful, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable. In addition they must also consider their appearance and safety.  Sites and companies that register with the Scheme are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

McPhillips have always taken our corporate social responsibilites seriously and we work hard to ensure that our activities improve the lives of people whom we come into contact with.  This is typified in our endorsement of the local agenda with 92% of our employees living within 20 miles of our Telford offices and the continued operation of our Apprenticeship scheme through which we are annually providing up to ten local young people with a positive start to a career in the construction industry.
