Project of the Year

McPhillips' project to construct a new canine rehoming centre near Loughborough for Dogs Trust has been selected as Project of the Year by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) East Midlands Region.  The project also won the Design and Innovation award at the annual event held at the Nottingham Conference Centre on 25th April 2013 and attended by 200 construction industry guests
"The rehoming centre stood out because of the high standards of design and its cutting-edge technical innovation. Incorporating re-cycled materials and predominantly timber framed, the buildings are designed to achieve the highest standards of energy efficiency", said RICS Judges.  “The variety and quality of the projects submitted shows the ingenuity and resilience of the East Midlands region in difficult economic times, it was an outstanding project to win the RICS East Midlands Project of the Year 2013", said Louise Mumford, chairman of the East Midlands Regional Board of the RICS.

The project will now go forward to represent the East Midlands region in the national RICS Awards Grand Final in London in October.
