RoSPA Order of Distinction


McPhillips (Wellington) Limited’s Health and Safety practices have again been rewarded by RoSPA during in their Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2014.

The Order of Distinction (17 consecutive Gold’s) award in the prestigious annual scheme will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on May 14, 2014.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage the raising of occupational health and safety standards across the board. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems such as McPhillips (Wellington) Limited, contribute to a collective raising of the bar for other organisations to aspire to, and we offer them our congratulations.”
Stuart Bishop, Safety, Training and Quality Manager, said  “Everyone at McPhillips ( Wellington ) Ltd works very hard to achieve and maintain very high standards of health and safety in the working environment, this award confirms those high standards and cannot be achieved without commitment by all, We are very pleased to be awarded it.“
The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, grading achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations that maintain high standards in consecutive years can win gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction.
