CECA Midlands visit McPhillips at Kidderminster

Our Worcester Street Connectivity site in Kidderminster town centre was visited this week by Civil Engineering Contractor’s Association (CECA) Midlands’ Regional Director Lorraine Gregory and colleague Lisa Hollington who were impressed with the pace of change on this hard and soft landscaping scheme.

The project, for Wyre Forest District Council, is being funded through the Government’s Future High Street Fund and is designed to provide new open green space which will completely change the look and feel of Worcester Street and the surrounding public spaces.

Our work involves reprofiling the heavily sloping site, providing new retaining structures and deep drainage, soft landscaping and construction of a wide and well-spaced set of steps with an accessible pathway leading from Worcester Street up to Bromsgrove Street.

Following her visit Lorraine commented “It was fantastic to visit the McPhillips site in Kidderminster. The complex project will certainly transform the area. I was extremely impressed with how the team are responding to the challenges that the site presents, and the professionalism and pride of the whole team shone through. I also enjoyed seeing how the team are supporting the next generation of talent, through their placement and apprenticeship programme. I look forward to returning to see the project complete.”
