We’re celebrating the fact that our Iron Lane Junction Improvement Scheme for Birmingham City Council recently collected the “Best Large Project” award at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) West Midlands Awards held on-line.
The Iron Lane scheme in Stechford was judged ahead of other high profile West Midlands transport projects including McPhillips’ Selly Oak New Road Phase 1b which was also nominated in the same category.
The work at Iron Lane was completed in May 2021 and has been designed to remove a major pinchpoint on the A4040 Outer Ring Road, improve access to several large urban employment and regeneration sites and reduce severance for pedestrians and cyclists.
