McPhillips recently helped the Early Years group at Windmill Primary School in Brookside, Telford by improving their existing playground.
Located seven miles from our Telford head office the Windmill School playground was in need of some TLC so we got to work providing new drainage and laying tarmac to provide a completely new surface for the pupils to enjoy.
McPhillips’ Works Supervisor Nick Armstrong said: “It’s been great to help one our local schools and to see what a difference the new playground has made to the school environment and the children’s playtime.”
Gill Lambert, Early Years Strategic Lead and Class Teacher at Windmill Primary said “The new tarmacing has completely lifted our play area. It has ensured the children have a great open space, which they can safely explore, scoot, run, build, cycle, skip and play on. We cannot thank McPhillips enough for their generosity with this project and how much it means to the children and staff at the school. It has made a real difference to the aesthetics of the outdoor area as well as the physicality of play for the children. Thank you from us all.”
